Canadian pianist Tong Wang and Canadian Classical Records announce the release of Skye, a new solo piano album featuring works exclusively by five living Canadian composers—Roydon Tse, Wesley Chu, Matthias McIntire, Delong Wang, and Alice Ping Yee Ho. Releasing on August 21, 2026 on CD-R and all major digital streaming platforms, the recording presents a deeply personal journey through contemporary Canadian music, exploring themes of memory, identity, imagination, landscape, and belonging. Developed through years of artistic collaboration between Wang and the composers, Skye offers a compelling portrait of Canada's vibrant new music scene.

Named after Wang's evolving artistic identity, Skye reflects on the enduring truths that remain as our lives continually change. From the expansive horizons of the Canadian Prairies and the quiet beauty of Chinese gardens to dreamlike meditations on artificial intelligence and theatrical fantasy, the album invites listeners to experience contemporary piano music as a unified artistic narrative.
