Founded in 2025 by the Juno Award winning classical engineer Alex Bohn, Canadian Classical Records Inc. aims to preserve the artistry of classical music, ensuring every concert becomes a timeless experience and every album gets proper attention. Our mission is to empower musicians by capturing their music with professional excellence, and transforming fleeting moments into enduring legacies that inspire audiences for generations to come.
As musicians and artists one of the hardest things these days is to be heard. There is so much music and art out there it is easy to feel that your music isn’t important. At Canadian Classical Records, our aim is to help musicians of all levels be heard by being apart of the process from recording to release.
To put it plainly, we want to make sure your music can live on beyond the concert and recording. You and your music deserve to be heard and listened to for years to come.
Alex Bohn
Alex Bohn Audio is a Juno Award winning Canadian-Métis Mastering, Mixing, and Recording engineer with over a decade of experience working across all genres and specializing in acoustic music like jazz, folk, singer-songwriter, and classical.
Described as an “impressive force” and “absolutely irreplaceable”, his technique is characterized as musically purist but with the heart of a modernist. Putting emphasis on the transparent & tonally pure while leaning into the natural warmth and the special qualities that make your music unique.
Alex Bohn has worked and trained all over North America, and has studied under industry greats such as George Massenburg, and Richard King.
He has held staff engineering positions at The Banff Centre for Arts and Creativity, Stony Brook University, and The University of Calgary.
Alex is currently taking on new work, while educating the next generation of audio professionals at The University of Lethbridge.
